    Mr Carl Gibson, Chief Executive Officer of the Complementary Healthcare Council (CHC) welcomes the Federal Government’s commitment to medical research in the 2014-15 Budget and urges the Government to recognise the growing contribution of complementary medicines by directing ten per cent of medical funding to complementary medicines research.

    Following the report released today from the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS), the first detailed information on Australia’s eating habits in 15 years, Mr Carl Gibson, Chief Executive Officer of the Complementary Healthcare Council said that the new results highlighted that the typical Australian is eating plenty of food but is still starving of quality nutrients.

    The Complementary Healthcare Council of Australia (CHC) welcomes the historic Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between Australia and Japan and congratulates Prime Minister, the Hon Tony Abbott, and the Minister for Trade, the Hon. Andrew Robb, in the signing of the trade deal that will, “see a reduction or removal of tariffs and duties on 97% of Australian exports to Japan.”
